PRESS RELEASE,\u00a0<\/strong>November\u00a0<\/strong>9<\/strong>, 2020:\u00a0<\/strong>Racing\u00a0fans will now have additional entertainment during the down season with the announcement of the\u00a0Winter\u00a0Heat\u00a0Series, a brand new, four event esports\u00a0tournament,\u00a0which will run from November and finish with a showpiece finale\u00a0ahead of the DAYTONA 500.\u00a0The new\u00a0tournament, open to all NASCAR Heat 5 players,\u00a0follows the success of the second season of\u00a0the\u00a0eNASCAR\u00a0Heat Pro League, and will offer racers a $47,000 prize pool.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

February\u2019s showpiece promises to be a spectacular final with the top three finishers of the November, December, and January events, on each platform, competing for the grand prize.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Winter Heat Series is open to all NASCAR Heat 5 players on the\u00a0PlayStation\u00ae4 computer entertainment system and the Xbox One family of devices including the Xbox One X.\u00a0Each of the Heat Winter Series events will carry a different theme to bring an extra dimension to the race.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From the existing\u00a0eNASCAR\u00a0Heat Pro League Series,\u00a010\u00a0of the teams\u00a0(Chip Ganassi Gaming, Gibbs Gaming, JR Motorsports, JTG Daugherty Throttlers, Petty eSports, RCR eSports, Roush Fenway Gaming, Stewart-Haas eSports, Team Penske eSports and Wood Brothers Gaming)\u00a0have all signed up for the Winter Heat Series. The\u00a0existing esports drivers for these teams will\u00a0automatically earn a position in the first three events.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Additional qualification for the\u00a0remaining grid spots on the\u00a0first event, the\u00a0\u2018Movember\u00a050\u2019, will be open in game from\u00a0Tuesday, November\u00a010th\u00a0<\/sup>to Thursday, November 12th<\/sup>. The top\u00a024 drivers on each platform will then race it out online\u00a0on November 22nd<\/sup>\u00a0around\u00a0virtual\u00a0Dover International Speedway.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The\u00a0Movember\u00a050 is being run in partnership with the\u00a0Movember\u00a0Foundation to help raise funds and awareness\u00a0for men\u2019s health. Competitors will be\u00a0encouraged to raise money for\u00a0Movember\u00a0with their fundraising efforts\u00a0helping to determine\u00a0the\u00a0starting lineup for the race.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe Winter Heat Series is a fun and unique way for everyday gamers to\u00a0showcase their skills\u00a0against\u00a0eNASCAR\u00a0Heat Pro League\u00a0drivers, while also competing for their share of a $47,000 prize pool,\u201d\u00a0eNHPL\u00a0General Manager\u00a0Jay Pennell\u00a0said. \u201cEach month\u2019s events will showcase a different theme that will\u00a0allow for competitors to have fun and help fill the void left in the winter months by the NASCAR off-season.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In order to take part in the Winter Heat Series, players will need a copy of\u00a0NASCAR Heat 5<\/em>, which\u00a0is available now on the\u00a0PlayStation\u00ae4 computer entertainment system, the Xbox One family of devices including the Xbox One X and on PC via Steam. The game delivers the ultimate NASCAR video game experience, with 34 authentic tracks across the country in single player, two-player split screen, and online multiplayer for up to 40 racers.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
