The 24 Hours of Le Mans Virtual\u00a0attracted some of the biggest names in motorsport and a huge global audience. The unprecedented success of the esports event has now been recognised by the Leaders Sports\u00a0Awards, winning the Live Experience trophy.\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Motorsport Games, who operated the\u00a024 Hours of Le Mans Virtual\u00a0in partnership with the ACO and the FIA World Endurance Championship, joins Tottenham Hotspur, AC Milan, Bose\/NFL and Ascot Racecourse as category winners. Full details can be found\u00a0here<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

With the postponement of the real world Le Mans endurance race in June the decision was made to take the event online. Motorsport Games, the ACO and FIA WEC\u00a0set\u00a0to work\u00a0creating the most ambitious esports race ever held\u00a0in just five weeks.\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

This unique event saw the\u00a0worlds of professional racing and esports combine as each team of four had to include at least two professional drivers.\u00a0Top motorsport and esports teams involved included: Ferrari, Porsche, Toyota, Aston Martin, Williams, Team Redline\u00a0and\u00a0Rebellion Racing\u00a0while the driving line-up was also unsurpassed, including\u00a0Charles Leclerc, Juan Pablo Montoya, Landon Norris, Jensen Button,\u00a0S\u00e9bastien Buemi\u00a0and many more.\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

The event has set a record by viewership\u00a0of an\u00a0esports race. Global TV distribution included\u00a0EuroSport, Sky Sports, ESPN, REV, J Sport and\u00a0Supersport.\u00a0The total TV and OTT viewership was over 14.2M and online streaming over 8.6m. The event also generated the most hours watched in comparison to any other sim racing event with 1,418,235 across Twitch, YouTube and Facebook.\u00a0<\/p>\r\n<\/body>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
